Video production built for energy and infrastructure

  • Live network sites, depots and factory floors
  • Line workers, apprentices and engineers on camera
  • Site inducted, in PPE, working inside your permits
  • Licensed drone operators for aerial footage
  • One shoot day fuels a hero film and social cut-downs

Energy and infrastructure video production services

Three kinds of video, each with a specific job to do for a network contractor, an operator or a project team.

Capability, project and launch films

Films that show an asset owner, an assessor or a partner what you can deliver. Mayfield Group's shows high-voltage electrical equipment being built on its factory floor, and KBR's introduces its Infrastructure Solutions business. When a new fleet or asset goes into service, a launch film marks it properly: we filmed the first hydrogen buses in Geelong for CDC Victoria.

What we make

  • Capability and tender films
  • Project and milestone films
  • Launch films for new fleets and assets
  • Explainers for customers and the public
  • Anniversary and stakeholder films

What it does

  • Win tenders and panel places
  • Show progress to stakeholders
  • Explain technical work in plain language
  • Mark a launch with something that lasts
  • Give LinkedIn something worth posting

Apprentice and workforce recruitment

Line workers, electricians, engineers and apprentices are hard to find, and the work is hard to picture from a job ad. Genus Group's apprenticeship film follows a third year apprentice with a line crew on the power network, so the next intake can see the job before they apply.

What we make

  • Apprentice and graduate stories
  • Recruitment campaigns
  • Day in the life films
  • Employer brand films
  • Vertical cut-downs for paid social

What it does

  • Fill trade and engineering roles faster
  • Attract apprentices who stay
  • Lift application quality
  • Strengthen your employer brand
  • Support careers days and school visits

Safety, inductions and internal updates

Site and contractor inductions, safe work procedures and plant operation, filmed on your sites with your own crews so nobody has to imagine what the written procedure means. We also make leadership updates for workforces spread across depots and projects. Internal video we made for KBR has reached more than 20,000 staff.

What we make

  • Site and contractor inductions
  • Safety films and SOP libraries
  • Plant and equipment procedures
  • Leadership and change updates
  • SCORM and LMS delivery

What it does

  • Cut incidents and equipment damage
  • Reduce induction time
  • Train consistently across depots
  • Stay audit ready
  • Reach crews who are never at a desk

How a project runs

Five stages, typically about 12 weeks from signed contract to final files. Each one shows what we do and what we need from you.

Brief

A call or a visit to work out who the video is for, what it needs to do and where it will be shown.

  • One conversation to brief us
  • A plan and a quote in writing
  • Hard deadlines mapped from day one

Your part: Tell us the problem you are trying to solve.

Plan

We write the script or interview questions, choose who will be on camera with you, and speak with each person before the shoot day. Locations, schedule and site requirements are locked in before anyone films.

  • Script or interview questions
  • A chat with everyone who will be on camera
  • A schedule built around your day

Your part: Approve the plan and help us line up people and places.

Shoot

A small crew sets up quickly and works around the day you already have. We film the interviews and the work itself.

  • Small crew, little disruption
  • Interviews and overlay footage
  • Drone footage where the site allows

Your part: Have one contact on site for the day.

Edit

We cut the main film, add music, graphics and captions, and send it to you for feedback. Your changes are made, the film comes back for sign off, and the shorter social versions follow.

  • A first cut for your feedback
  • Captions, graphics and music included
  • Social cut-downs from the same shoot

Your part: Collect feedback from your team in one go.

Deliver

You receive final files in the formats each platform needs, with caption files, and LMS-ready versions for training video. We can also help you plan where each video goes and when.

  • Files for web, social and screens
  • Caption files included
  • SCORM or LMS versions for training

Your part: Publish, and tell us how it goes.

Joe from KBR on camera

They really do feel like an extension of our team.

They make our people really comfortable on camera, super professional, always organised. With very busy, very senior people you need to be agile and roll things out quickly.

Experience across Australian energy and infrastructure

Energy and infrastructure clients include Genus Group, Mayfield Group, KBR, ICN Victoria, CDC Victoria and EastLink. For Linfox we filmed electric prime movers starting deliveries from the Dandenong distribution centre, and with the National Transport Commission we have filmed on the rail network.

The work covers power network construction and maintenance, high-voltage equipment, engineering consultancy, electric and hydrogen fleets, and the operation of public roads. For road works, foundations and building sites, see our construction and civil video production, and for fleets and depots our transport and logistics video production.

About Lift →

Energy and infrastructure video production across Australia

Our core team is based in Nunawading, in Melbourne's east, and much of this work is filmed around Melbourne and regional Victoria. We also travel to where the asset is. Energy and infrastructure jobs have taken us to Adelaide for Mayfield Group, to Geelong for CDC Victoria and to the Port of Brisbane for an electric truck handover.

For interstate, remote and multi-site shoots we plan a schedule that keeps travel cost low, using our Melbourne team, trusted local crew, or a mix. Lift manages the production from start to finish wherever the crew comes from.

Frequently asked questions

What project, communications, HR and safety managers ask us before a project.

Have you worked in energy and infrastructure before?

Yes. We have made films for Genus Group, Mayfield Group, KBR, ICN Victoria, CDC Victoria and EastLink, and filmed electric truck launches for Linfox. That has put us beside line crews on the power network, on a factory floor where high-voltage equipment is built, and at depots where electric and hydrogen vehicles went into service.

Can you film around live electrical assets?

Yes, under your control. We complete your induction, follow your permit and exclusion zone rules, and take direction from your site supervisor on where the crew can stand. Long lenses and drones let us film the work without being close to it.

Do your crew have white cards?

Yes. If a white card is needed on site, we have crew who hold one.

Can you film with drones?

Yes. We have licensed drone operators available for projects that need aerial footage, where the site and airspace allow it.

Can you film a project at more than one stage?

Yes. We can book shoot days around the milestones that matter, such as an energisation, a delivery or a handover, then cut them into one film at the end or release updates along the way.

We have a launch date. Can you work to it?

Tell us the date at the start and we plan backwards from it. Typically a project from signing the contract lasts about 12 weeks, so the earlier we know, the more options you have.

Do you travel to regional and remote projects?

Yes. Our core team is based in Melbourne and we film across Australia. Energy and infrastructure work has taken us to Adelaide, Geelong and the Port of Brisbane, and we have trusted crew around the country for multi-site projects.

How much will it cost?

A single project film or profile piece starts around $6K. An induction and safety video together usually land between $17K and $20K, and a recruitment or brand campaign runs $25K to $60K.
