Video production built for healthcare, aged care and community services

  • Aged care homes, clinics, health precincts, community hubs and private homes
  • Your own staff, residents and participants on camera
  • Consent and privacy handled to your process
  • Small, quiet crews that work around care
  • One shoot day fuels a hero film and captioned social cut-downs

Healthcare video production services

Three kinds of video, each with a specific job to do for a health, aged care or community organisation.

Patient, participant and community stories

Stories told by the people who use your service and the people who deliver it: patients, residents, participants, carers, nurses and support workers. We make service and brand films for websites and funders, fundraising and appeal films, conference highlights, and walkthroughs of a new home or precinct.

What we make

  • Service and brand films
  • Participant and resident stories
  • Fundraising and appeal films
  • Conference and event highlights
  • Home and precinct walkthroughs

What it does

  • Help people find the right service
  • Show funders and partners the impact
  • Support appeals and giving days
  • Give families confidence in a home
  • Carry an event beyond the room

Recruitment and workforce videos

Nurses, carers, support workers and volunteers are hard to find. We film your own people talking about the work, the team and the people they care for, so candidates see the job before they apply. The films run on careers pages, in paid social and at careers events.

What we make

  • Recruitment campaigns
  • Day in the life stories
  • Student and graduate placement films
  • Volunteer recruitment films
  • Vertical cut-downs for paid social

What it does

  • Fill nursing and care roles faster
  • Attract people who suit the work
  • Grow your volunteer base
  • Strengthen your employer brand
  • Support placements and graduate intakes

Training, safety and education

Manual handling, infection control, visitor and site inductions, procedures and consumer education, filmed in your homes, clinics and wards with your own staff. We keep them short enough for a home care or shift worker to watch on a phone before they start.

What we make

  • Staff induction and onboarding
  • Manual handling and safety series
  • Visitor and contractor guidelines
  • Patient and consumer education
  • Program explainers for members and referrers

What it does

  • Reduce injuries in home and aged care
  • Train consistently across sites
  • Reach staff who are never at a desk
  • Explain a service in plain language
  • Stay audit ready

How a project runs

Five stages, typically about 12 weeks from signed contract to final files. Each one shows what we do and what we need from you.

Brief

A call or a visit to work out who the video is for, what it needs to do and where it will be shown.

  • One conversation to brief us
  • A plan and a quote in writing
  • Hard deadlines mapped from day one

Your part: Tell us the problem you are trying to solve.

Plan

We write the script or interview questions, choose who will be on camera with you, and speak with each person before the shoot day. Locations, schedule and site requirements are locked in before anyone films.

  • Script or interview questions
  • A chat with everyone who will be on camera
  • A schedule built around your day

Your part: Approve the plan and help us line up people and places.

Shoot

A small crew sets up quickly and works around the day you already have. We film the interviews and the work itself.

  • Small crew, little disruption
  • Interviews and overlay footage
  • Drone footage where the site allows

Your part: Have one contact on site for the day.

Edit

We cut the main film, add music, graphics and captions, and send it to you for feedback. Your changes are made, the film comes back for sign off, and the shorter social versions follow.

  • A first cut for your feedback
  • Captions, graphics and music included
  • Social cut-downs from the same shoot

Your part: Collect feedback from your team in one go.

Deliver

You receive final files in the formats each platform needs, with caption files, and LMS-ready versions for training video. We can also help you plan where each video goes and when.

  • Files for web, social and screens
  • Caption files included
  • SCORM or LMS versions for training

Your part: Publish, and tell us how it goes.

Who we work with

Health, aged care and community clients include the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA), Calvary Health Care, Wellways, Berry Street Yooralla, Japara, Mayflower and genU Training.

The work covers general practice and nurse clinics, residential aged care, home care, mental health and wellbeing services, disability employment, carer support and vocational training. Much of it is funded by grants and programs with reporting to match, so we are used to approvals that run through clinical, communications and executive teams.

About Lift →

Healthcare video production across Australia

Our core team is based in Nunawading, in Melbourne's east, and much of our health work is filmed around Melbourne and regional Victoria, including Caulfield South, Williamstown and Morwell. We also travel to where the service is. Health projects have taken us to Newman in the Pilbara, Alstonville in northern New South Wales, the Sunshine Coast and South West Rocks on the mid north coast.

For interstate and multi-site shoots we plan a schedule that keeps travel cost low, using our Melbourne team, trusted local crew, or a mix. Lift manages the production from start to finish wherever the crew comes from.

Frequently asked questions

What health communications, people and culture, and education managers ask us before a project.

Have you worked in healthcare and aged care before?

Yes. We have made films for APNA, Calvary Health Care, Wellways, Berry Street Yooralla, Japara, Mayflower and genU Training, in aged care homes, general practice clinics, health precincts, community mental health centres, disability services and people's own homes.

How do you handle consent and privacy?

We work to your consent process. Everyone who appears on camera agrees to it before we film, anyone who has not agreed stays out of frame, and you approve the edit before anything is published. If your organisation has its own consent forms, we use those.

Can you film around residents, patients and clinics without getting in the way?

Yes. We keep the crew small, plan the day around care routines, meal times and clinic hours, and film in the rooms and at the times you choose. If something changes on the day, care comes first and we move the schedule.

Our people are nervous about being on camera. How do you help?

Most of the people we film have never been filmed before. We speak with each person before the shoot day so they know what we will ask, we film a conversation with them and leave the script at home, and they can stop or go again at any point.

Do your crew meet our site entry requirements?

Tell us what your site needs, such as police checks, vaccination evidence, sign in or infection control steps, and we will have it organised before the shoot day.

Do you caption the videos?

Yes. Captions are part of the edit, and we can supply caption files for the platforms that need them.

Do you travel to regional and remote services?

Yes. Our core team is based in Melbourne and health projects have taken us to Newman in the Pilbara, Alstonville in northern New South Wales, the Sunshine Coast and South West Rocks. We also have trusted crew around the country, so we can send our Melbourne team, use local crew, or a mix.

How much will it cost, and how long does it take?

A single story or profile piece starts around $6K. Typically a project from signing the contract lasts about 12 weeks. If there is a hard deadline, like a conference, an appeal or an accreditation date, we plan backwards from it.

Tell us about your service

A role you cannot fill, a program people have not heard of, a resident or participant with a story worth telling, or training your staff need before their next shift. Send a few lines and we will come back with a plan and a quote.
