Video production built for transport and logistics

  • Depots, DCs, cold chain, ports and intermodal terminals
  • Drivers, operators and leaders on camera, never actors
  • Site inducted, PPE compliant, used to working around moving plant
  • Shoots planned around dispatch, not the other way round
  • One shoot day fuels a hero film and social cut-downs

Transport video production services

Three kinds of video, each with a specific job to do for a transport or logistics business.

Customer case studies and brand films

Capability films that win tenders, customer stories that give your sales team something to send, and brand films for your website and LinkedIn. For OEMs and dealers, that often means a real operator explaining why they bought the truck. For 3PLs and carriers, it is the operation itself, filmed properly, with the people who run it.

What we make

  • Capability and tender films
  • Customer stories and case studies
  • Brand and website films
  • Product and fleet launch videos
  • Trade show and event content

What it does

  • Win more tenders and contracts
  • Lift inbound enquiries
  • Equip your sales team
  • Move into new markets
  • Make a truck show pay for itself

Recruitment and employer branding videos

Driver shortages do not get solved with a stock photo and a job ad. We film your actual drivers, apprentices, mechanics and schedulers talking about the work, the gear and the people, so candidates see what the job is before they apply. The films run on careers pages, in paid social and at recruitment events.

What we make

  • Recruitment campaigns
  • Day in the life and apprentice stories
  • Careers page films
  • Employer brand films
  • Vertical cut-downs for paid social

What it does

  • Fill driver and mechanic roles faster
  • Lift application quality
  • Reduce cost per hire
  • Strengthen your employer brand
  • Reduce early turnover
A truck driver in orange hi-vis doing a walk-around check beside a curtain-sider

Safety, training and internal communications

Site and depot inductions, pre-start and coupling procedures, load restraint, cold chain handling and contractor onboarding, filmed on your equipment at your sites so nobody has to imagine what the written procedure means. We also make leadership updates and internal comms for workforces that are mostly in a cab or on a dock, not at a desk.

What we make

  • Site and depot inductions
  • Safety films and SOP libraries
  • Contractor onboarding
  • Leadership and internal comms video
  • SCORM and LMS delivery

What it does

  • Cut equipment damage and serious injury
  • Reduce induction time
  • Train consistently across sites
  • Stay audit ready
  • Reach staff who are not at a desk

What to look for in a transport and logistics video partner

Grant from Lift on choosing a production company for work in live depots, warehouses, yards and distribution centres.

  • Experience filming in live depots, warehouses and yards, without stopping the operation
  • A crew that puts drivers, warehouse teams and frontline staff at ease on camera
  • Site planning before the shoot: access, safety requirements, timing and who needs to be there
  • One shoot planned to produce several pieces of content
  • Enough knowledge of the industry to ask the right questions

How a project runs

Five stages, typically about 12 weeks from signed contract to final files. Each one shows what we do and what we need from you.

Brief

A call or a visit to work out who the video is for, what it needs to do and where it will be shown.

  • One conversation to brief us
  • A plan and a quote in writing
  • Hard deadlines mapped from day one

Your part: Tell us the problem you are trying to solve.

Plan

We write the script or interview questions, choose who will be on camera with you, and speak with each person before the shoot day. Locations, schedule and site requirements are locked in before anyone films.

  • Script or interview questions
  • A chat with everyone who will be on camera
  • A schedule built around your day

Your part: Approve the plan and help us line up people and places.

Shoot

A small crew sets up quickly and works around the day you already have. We film the interviews and the work itself.

  • Small crew, little disruption
  • Interviews and overlay footage
  • Drone footage where the site allows

Your part: Have one contact on site for the day.

Edit

We cut the main film, add music, graphics and captions, and send it to you for feedback. Your changes are made, the film comes back for sign off, and the shorter social versions follow.

  • A first cut for your feedback
  • Captions, graphics and music included
  • Social cut-downs from the same shoot

Your part: Collect feedback from your team in one go.

Deliver

You receive final files in the formats each platform needs, with caption files, and LMS-ready versions for training video. We can also help you plan where each video goes and when.

  • Files for web, social and screens
  • Caption files included
  • SCORM or LMS versions for training

Your part: Publish, and tell us how it goes.

About Lift →

Transport and logistics video production across Australia

Our core team is based in Nunawading, in Melbourne's east, and most weeks we are filming at depots and DCs around Melbourne, Dandenong, Laverton, Truganina and the port. We also film interstate regularly, with trusted crew in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, and we travel to regional and remote sites when that is where the operation is: Newman, Toowoomba, Katherine, Wodonga and plenty of places in between.

For multi-site shoots we plan a schedule that keeps travel cost and downtime low, and Lift manages the production from start to finish wherever the crew comes from.

Read the transcriptTransport and logistics video production in Australia: what businesses should look for (2:28)

If you're looking for a transport and logistics video production company in Australia, there are a few things worth looking for beyond whether they can make a nice-looking video.

Transport and logistics environments are different to most corporate shoots. You might be filming in a live depot, warehouse, yard or distribution centre. There can be trucks moving, forklifts operating, shift changes happening, site inductions, PPE requirements and very limited windows to capture what you need.

So one of the first things I'd look for is whether the production company actually understands operational environments. At Lift Video Production, a large part of our work is across transport, logistics and supply chain businesses, so we're used to working around live operations rather than expecting the operation to stop for us.

The second thing is whether they understand the people they're filming. A lot of transport content involves drivers, warehouse staff, technicians, safety teams or operational leaders who aren't necessarily used to being on camera. Getting a good result is often less about having the fanciest camera and more about making people comfortable enough to speak naturally.

The third thing is planning. For these projects, pre-production matters a lot. You need to understand what happens on site, when the best activity is taking place, what areas you can access, what safety requirements are involved and who needs to be available. Good planning means you can capture more in less time and minimise disruption to the business.

Another thing to look for is whether the production company understands how the content will actually be used. A transport video might start as a brand film, but the same shoot could also create recruitment content, customer case studies, safety material, social media clips, photography or internal communications. So ideally, you're thinking beyond one finished video and looking at how much useful content you can create from the production.

And finally, look for someone who understands your industry well enough to ask the right questions. Transport and logistics businesses can be complex, and sometimes the most interesting parts of the story are things an outside production company might completely miss.

So if you're choosing a transport and logistics video production company in Australia, I'd look for someone who understands live operational sites, works well with frontline teams, plans thoroughly and thinks about how the content will support the wider business. That's a big part of how we approach projects at Lift Video Production. We're based in Melbourne and work with transport, logistics and supply chain businesses across Australia.

Frequently asked questions

What transport marketing, HR, safety and comms managers ask us before a project.

Do you actually understand the transport and logistics world?

Yes. We have delivered work for Linfox, Volvo Group Australia, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks, Coolway Trans, BevChain, KTL Australia, Sidelink Transport, Container Transport Alliance Australia and Ron Finemore Transport, across depots, yards, prime movers, cold chain facilities and live operational sites. Our crews know how to move on site, when to stay out of the way, and how to get the shot without holding up the operation.

Can you film on live operational sites without disrupting our day?

Yes, it is how we work. Transport operations do not stop and we do not expect them to. We plan around shift changes, loading windows, dispatch peaks and exclusion zones. Our crews are inducted, in PPE, and stay clear of moving plant. We capture the real rhythm of your operation rather than staging it, which is what makes the content feel authentic.

Do you travel to regional or interstate sites?

Yes. Our core team is based in Melbourne and we film across Australia regularly: depots, distribution centres, ports, cold storage and regional yards. We also have trusted crew around the country, so for multi-site shoots we can send our Melbourne team, use local crew, or a mix, depending on the project, location and budget.

Do your crew complete our site induction?

Yes. We complete your induction before the shoot day, turn up in the PPE your site requires, and follow your traffic management and exclusion zone rules while filming.

Can you film with drones?

Yes. We have licensed drone operators available for yards, terminals, fleet and road footage where the site and airspace allow it.

How much will it cost?

A single customer story or profile piece starts around $6K. An induction and safety video together usually land between $17K and $20K, and a recruitment or brand campaign runs $25K to $60K. You can also use our pricing calculator for a ballpark.

How long does a project take?

Typically a project from signing the contract lasts about 12 weeks. If there is a hard deadline, like a truck show, a tender date or a compliance change, we plan backwards from it.

What is it like to work with you?

Collaborative, honest and practical. We guide the process, bring ideas to the table, pre-interview your people so they are comfortable on camera, and keep things moving.

Tell us about the operation

A role you cannot fill, an induction people forget, a tender you need to win, or a customer who would say good things on camera. Send a few lines and we will come back with a plan and a quote.
