One day when everyone is in the room

An event is the one day your customers, staff, executives and partners are all in the same place. Film it properly and you leave with a highlights film, interviews you could never schedule otherwise, and social content for months.

We plan the shot list, the interviews and the run sheet with you beforehand, so the crew knows where to be when the ribbon is cut or the keys are handed over. For Linfox and Bunnings we filmed the launch of electric prime movers at the Dandenong distribution centre. At the Brisbane Truck Show we delivered more than 30 videos within 72 hours.

  • Shot list and interview plan agreed before the day
  • A highlights film plus interviews with guests and speakers
  • Fast turnaround planned in from the start
  • Vertical versions for social while the event is fresh

Kinds of event video we make

From a ten minute handover in a yard to three days on a show floor.

  • A new fleet, a new site or a new product. We have filmed electric truck launches for Linfox and the first hydrogen buses in Geelong for CDC Victoria.

  • The energy of the room in two to three minutes, for members who came and for promoting next year. APNA uses theirs for both.

  • Stand walk-throughs, product reveals and customer interviews, edited each night so they can go out during the show. We made the recap of the Retail Fulfilment Show for Akolade.

  • Executives, customers and guests are all in one place. Ten minutes with each gives you content for the rest of the year.

  • Marking the years with the people and projects that made them. ICN Victoria's tours projects built with local suppliers.

  • Town halls, awards nights and leadership days, filmed for the people who could not be there.

How an event video project runs

The same five stages as any Lift project, with the date fixed from the start. Most of the work that decides how good the film is happens before the day.

Brief

A call or a visit to work out who the video is for, what it needs to do and where it will be shown.

  • One conversation to brief us
  • A plan and a quote in writing
  • Hard deadlines mapped from day one

Your part: Tell us the problem you are trying to solve.

Plan

We write the script or interview questions, choose who will be on camera with you, and speak with each person before the shoot day. Locations, schedule and site requirements are locked in before anyone films.

  • Script or interview questions
  • A chat with everyone who will be on camera
  • A schedule built around your day

Your part: Approve the plan and help us line up people and places.

Shoot

A small crew sets up quickly and works around the day you already have. We film the interviews and the work itself.

  • Small crew, little disruption
  • Interviews and overlay footage
  • Drone footage where the site allows

Your part: Have one contact on site for the day.

Edit

We cut the main film, add music, graphics and captions, and send it to you for feedback. Your changes are made, the film comes back for sign off, and the shorter social versions follow.

  • A first cut for your feedback
  • Captions, graphics and music included
  • Social cut-downs from the same shoot

Your part: Collect feedback from your team in one go.

Deliver

You receive final files in the formats each platform needs, with caption files, and LMS-ready versions for training video. We can also help you plan where each video goes and when.

  • Files for web, social and screens
  • Caption files included
  • SCORM or LMS versions for training

Your part: Publish, and tell us how it goes.

Adrian Petrovic Google review

Trusted when there is no second take

An event happens once. Adrian Petrovic wrote in the same review that Lift has become "a trusted partner for the Brisbane Truck Show and future projects".

Marianne Kintzel, who booked us for a conference, wrote that the team "ask all the right questions, are proactive and are excellent communicators".

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us before a event project.

How far ahead should we book?

As soon as the date is set. Good event coverage is planned: a shot list, an interview list and a run sheet agreed before the day.

How fast can we get the highlights video?

Tell us when you need it and we plan the edit around that date. At the Brisbane Truck Show we delivered more than 30 videos within 72 hours.

Can you interview guests and speakers on the day?

Yes. We set up a quiet spot near the action and work through a list you have approved, a few minutes per person.

Can you film events outside Melbourne?

Yes. Event work has taken us to Geelong, Brisbane and Dandenong, and we film across Australia with our own team or trusted local crew.

What do you need from us?

The run sheet, venue access, a list of who and what must be filmed, and one person on the day who can make decisions.

How much does event video cost?

Our pricing starts around $6K for a single shoot day and one finished film.
