Buyers trust other buyers

A customer case study video puts a real client on camera at their own site, explaining the problem they had, why they chose you and what changed. Sales teams send it before a meeting, tender writers attach it as evidence, and it keeps earning its place on the website for years.

We handle the part that makes case studies hard, which is asking your customer. We brief them, speak with them before the shoot so they know what to expect, and plan the day around their operation so the favour costs them as little time as possible. Coolway Trans has made three with us, at LJM Produce, Pepe Saya and Meyer Food Co.

  • We brief your customer and speak with them before the shoot

  • A main film plus short quote clips for sales and social

Kinds of customer story we make

The right format depends on who is telling the story and where it will be used.

  • The full story in two to three minutes: the problem, the decision and the result, with footage of the work.

  • One customer, one clear point, under a minute. Useful beside a quote on your website or at the end of a proposal.

  • An operator explaining why they bought the truck or the machine. We have made these for Mack Trucks, UD Trucks and Kalmar.

  • In health and community services the customer is a patient, a participant or a carer. We have told their stories for APNA and Wellways.

  • Three or more customers filmed to one plan, so the films share a look and can be released in turn.

  • The best ten seconds of each interview, captioned, ready to drop into an email, a presentation or LinkedIn.

How a customer story project runs

Five stages, typically about 12 weeks from signed contract to final files. Your customer is involved in two of them: a short call before the shoot, and the shoot itself.

Brief

A call or a visit to work out who the video is for, what it needs to do and where it will be shown.

  • One conversation to brief us
  • A plan and a quote in writing
  • Hard deadlines mapped from day one

Your part: Tell us the problem you are trying to solve.

Plan

We write the script or interview questions, choose who will be on camera with you, and speak with each person before the shoot day. Locations, schedule and site requirements are locked in before anyone films.

  • Script or interview questions
  • A chat with everyone who will be on camera
  • A schedule built around your day

Your part: Approve the plan and help us line up people and places.

Shoot

A small crew sets up quickly and works around the day you already have. We film the interviews and the work itself.

  • Small crew, little disruption
  • Interviews and overlay footage
  • Drone footage where the site allows

Your part: Have one contact on site for the day.

Edit

We cut the main film, add music, graphics and captions, and send it to you for feedback. Your changes are made, the film comes back for sign off, and the shorter social versions follow.

  • A first cut for your feedback
  • Captions, graphics and music included
  • Social cut-downs from the same shoot

Your part: Collect feedback from your team in one go.

Deliver

You receive final files in the formats each platform needs, with caption files, and LMS-ready versions for training video. We can also help you plan where each video goes and when.

  • Files for web, social and screens
  • Caption files included
  • SCORM or LMS versions for training

Your part: Publish, and tell us how it goes.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us before a customer story project.

How do we ask a customer to be in a video?

Ask the one who already says good things about you, and tell them we will handle the rest. We send them a short brief, speak with them before the shoot and work around their day.

What if our customer is nervous on camera?

Most are. We ask questions in conversation, there is no script to remember, and we only use the answers that work. The call beforehand takes most of the nerves away.

Who approves the final video?

Both of you. Your customer sees the cut and signs off before anything is published.

How long should a case study video be?

Two to three minutes for the full story, with a 30 second version for social and short quote clips for sales emails.

Can you film at a customer's site interstate?

Yes. We film across Australia with our Melbourne team or trusted local crew. Customer stories have taken us to Adelaide, Sydney, Toowoomba, Port Kembla and Newman.

Can we use it in tenders?

Yes. We supply files that play offline and short versions that fit submission limits, and many clients embed a link in the written response.

How much does a customer case study cost?

A single story from one shoot day starts around $6K. A series across several customers is typically $25K to $60K.

How long does it take?

Typically a project from signing the contract lasts about 12 weeks. Most of the variation comes from finding a date that suits your customer.
